| This entire album is about BN's relationship with god. I am absolutely convinced that both TDAGARIM and Daisy are absolutely about the struggles of maintaining a relationship with God and maintaining a reasonable mind. I understand that its left intentionally ambiguous so people can glean from the music what they want but to the band and their intentions when writing the albums it was about whether god exists and whether they wanted him to exist in their lives. | |

Lament of Pretty Baby is about PB realizing Sweetie is the one she needs in her life through trial and error. (Oh please mr. can't you fix me) refers to her having a relationship with another man, who she finds lacking, and the following line suggests she becomes kind of permiscuous, trying to use sex as a way to fix any problems she has. She also says (someone please the moon has raped me) which references "the casualty" and is actually a nod at the inconsistency of the moon, and it's false hope. In the final line of the song she realizes it's always been sweetie, and no one else. |

This song is the aftermath of "The Casualty" It's after Sweetie's left, he's claiming Pretty Baby as the reason for their split and that her crocodile tears arent proving that she still loves, but that she only feels badly for herself. Conversely, PB says sweetie is only using it as an excuse to further his career as a musician... its about the hopelessness that you feel after a long relationship and how you make mountains out of mole hills with absolutely everything you encounter. The other may just be sitting at home reading a book, but in your mind she's sitting around with friends laughing at you and fucking everything that moves. |
