| This song makes the observation that, no matter if you are a prosecuted people such as the Gypsies (who go underground to escape), or a person stuck in the societal corporate machine (who go through the roof to escape), we are all alike in a way that is excluded and exploited by the upper crust society (upperdogs). The upperdogs get to set the rules and culture of an area, destroying small culture for their own gain. Boy scouts, or people who pay attention to the way things are and try to seek answers, may notice that the real, commanding powers aren't actually part of any society, but instead form their own organizations that don't care about country lines. They manipulate from outside with no care of the people within, thereby excluding the very people he was speaking of in the beginning. So, we cannot function in this world that was not built for us but built instead to control and manipulate us, so we must find another path of our own, whether through the roof, or underground. | |
