I listen to the music and words together to get an image of a man struggling to find significance in his life, so he yells take a look at these hands and talks of his influence as a government man. Perhaps he is in final stages of death finding his way to hell. |

I take the song at its face value. Heaven is a place where nothing happens. Peace, and then the kiss or whatever you're thinking about happens all over again exactly the same. It's an interesting and simple concept most of us cannot see or don't want to see, that non-existence is not the end of your thread and you will reappear again and again. It fits well with "And she was" which is about a girl who ascends to heaven and see's her body floating, and my favorite "Once in a lifetime" which is also about reincarnation. |
