The first time listening to the song, the words just flew over my head. I too have struggled with some of these issues addressed in the song, and one night it came to me what it was really about. This song is about Josh being bulimic. He isn't happy with the way he looks so he makes himself throw up, in order to be thin. He makes the metaphor of his eating disorder being a person, similar to the song lover dearest, which is his heroin addiction being the person. Both such great songs. |

This song is about Josh's addiction to heroin. Through out the song he says how he loves it, but that it should leave him. It's really a beautiful and inspiring song, and he really made the right decision. I love Marianas Trench so much because of their amazing songs. |
