Radiohead – Daydreaming Lyrics 9 years ago
@[TheNeonDemon:11715] i agree to you, no arguing about how Radiohead lyrics' meaning differs from each people's opinion. That's the beauty of their music, apart from their creativity.

Coldplay – Fix You Lyrics 10 years ago
I have to agree with PeteBaldwin's opinion. It is about being helpless, but everytime you wanna give up, there's always a light in the end of the tunnel. It's just about "keep trying until you reach it" song. But i want to add a perspective in the end.

During the "tears stream" section, i had a thinking that the writer actually disappoints his/her lover then he/she left. The writer regrets, tears "streaming" through his/her eyes, and the powerful one:

"I promise you i will learn from all my mistakes."
This, is a big apology. The writer really regrets the mistake and promises to his/her lover that he/she will learn and fix him/herself through the mistakes.

And after the writer fixes him/herself, the writer will then try to fix his/her lover. Fixing what he/she has broken deep-down. Hence the title "Fix You".

The Doors – The End Lyrics 11 years ago
Yeah, i heard that too... Maybe some different version of the song. Maybe a sexual reference to the Oedipus tragedy.

Some guys at http://www.thetoptens.com/saddest-songs/ said that this song can also be related to those break-up things on the first and last part, also the Oedipus tragedy. But also, it shows how Jim can see so much about us, mainly on how badly we treated our home Earth and the people around us.

"Can you picture what we'll be? So limitless and free. Desperately in need, of some, stranger's hand..."
That point is when we think that we're powerful, we're free, yet we still need help, even from strangers. We're humans. We have ego that sometimes we can't control at all. Maybe this points out to political things.

Second part is maybe when our mind whispered to us to "take the King's highway". That highway in my eyes is maybe a highway to success, and "weird scenes inside the gold mine" may refer to unfamiliar things we see during our trip to success, or it's just Jim's experience on acid. The "snake" maybe is our ride to success but it's long and slow, and then this "blue bus" came to us and said "I'll take you through faster."

In my opinion, that bus is our ego. After that Oedipus explaining, a scene of our ego inviting us to "the back of the bus" is shown. Our ego said "Fuck all your problems, let's just think about ourselves, get inside the bus, and we'll destroy and take everything for ourselves." hence the "blue rock" and continuous "kill" chanting, showing that we're enjoying the "blue rock" and we don't even care about killing others, as long as we enjoy our own lives.

Last part is when we regret killing things and it hurts to set them free in the end.
And of course, death. The End.

What really creeped me is when Jim sings, "And all the children are insane, all the children are insane, waiting for the summer rain."

Jim lived in the past. We are the children. Look on how we're destroying Earth, yet we constantly expect that there will still be hope living on Earth when Earth's resource is depleted. and it may also shows how we always hold onto our determination to live, even when it's near The End.

P.S. why is the song is shown written by Linkin Park? The f*** is that?
