| I think this song, as the 'theme song' of her archetype Primadonna, is about the upper class, spoilt, pampered rich kids of the Western world, who believe that their happiness and love is measured in things they have. A lot of these children don't know real love, but have been pampered and spoilt to the point that they believe the world is theirs and everything is about them- when really, deep down, they are very depressed and just want to be loved, hence "I'm sad to the core, core, core... When you give, I want more, more more/ I wanna be adored". | |
