Brick + Mortar – Locked In A Cage Lyrics 11 years ago
About how he wanted to make his dreams (even a little of them) a reality but was restricted by people who discouraged him and/or wouldn't allow it...

(leaves turn blue and the sky green)
Gives us an image of how stupid and impossible his dream was
(say don't burn me down)
could mean that he stubbornly wouldn't listen to logical reasoning.
(you'll never find your way)
Even if they try to "burn" him he wouldn't give up

Brick + Mortar – Old Boy Lyrics 11 years ago
I was bored and this song makes me smile so.....
The slightly creepy video shows a creature trying to find a person of importance to him and he still looks for that person even though they're so many dangers in the way. In the end he murders the person found in a Santa Claus disguise.

Put in relation to the lyrics, the "old boy" could be the adult version of the singer being talked to by the child version. He says "You are to blame" He means that the adult has ruined a certain dream he had as a child and isn't doing anything to try achieve it. "Goodbye" (letting go of the childish life)

But then maybe he didn't totally give up on his dream as a child. "I can't be the best, still I hold onto something more" the chorus lyrics could be another speaker, perhaps the adult version speaking about how he cant be the best but he still wants to achieve his childhood dreams. even though they're "cold boys" (People who tell him to just give it up so often that he eventually gives up and flows in the river) the river could be him in school, college, university, not knowing what to do with his life, getting a job that he has no interest in but still earns him "a million" and the "cold boys" he's with ensure he doesn't try to aim towards his dream since childhood.
Back to the video, the creature could be the child dream trying to get the adult's state of mind and murder it (the creature with the beard) so that he may continue the childream.
