| Trisha Yearwood – I Would've Loved You Anyway Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| What does this song mean to me? Everything. For me it's talking about the one girl who I have ever loved with every fiber of my body. It's impossible to put it into words. We were in love and she died. Simple as that but 3 years later I haven't let go. Lucy I love you. | |
| The Goo Goo Dolls – It's Over Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| It's one of those songs that's hard to listen to after you break up or are going through a difficult time in a relationship. It's over to the other person but not to you, I'm just over that stage and it sucked ass! | |
| Foo Fighters – The One Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I think the song is about a person admitting that even though it's over or about to end they still think about them. But I also think that it's more about how the person is mad at themselves that they still have feelings for this person even though they're not important to them anymore. | |
| The Clarks – Better Off Without You Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Yeah, it's a great song to listen to to get over someone. You can just sit in the sun with a cool drink and just hang out and really know that it's better this way! Sing the chorus loud and it'll make your day. | |
| Sheryl Crow – My Favorite Mistake Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| I have one favorite mistake but just recently she's turned into a real bitch. Not to me but to others. After telling other people what I thought they all said "didn't you know?" I just never saw the selfish and jealous side of her personality until we stopped dating and I stopped liking her. It's a shame because I have a few great memories of her and now they're tainted by her actions of the past few weeks. I try to remember the good times and how I felt and I know that it was a mistake, but of all the mistakes I've made, she's my favourite. | |
| Sheryl Crow – Sad Sad World Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| Too right, I love to listen to this track, I've got the special edition 2 CD "Sheryl Crow" album and without it I would probably never have heard it, what a crime that it wasn't on the regular version. | |
| The Goo Goo Dolls – Sympathy Lyrics | 23 years ago |
| When I was at the Indy show a few weeks back they played this. WOW. This and Iris were so amazing live and acoustic. | |
| The Goo Goo Dolls – Here Is Gone Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
Ok, this is kind of a long one but to me it's the greatest song ever and it helped me get over that someone special. A little background first about the person first though. We knew each other for a year before we finally got together, there was a lot of "she may like you and she knows that you like her." Anyway, after a year we dated for about 4 weeks and it didn't work out. I built it up to be something that was going to be great but I had blocked out all the bad things about her personality that everyone else saw, so here goes. "You and I got somethin' but it's all and then it's nothin' to me" - means that there's something between us but when I think about it it's not that important to me anymore but I still have residual feelings. "And I got my defenses when it comes to your intentions for me" - she would always flirt with me a little to keep me interested and liking her. Now when she does it I know what she's doing and that her intentions are fake so I don't take them to heart. "And we wake up in the breakdown of the things we never thought we could be" - I never thought that we would get together and we did but now it's gone. "I'm not the one who broke you, I'm not the one you should fear" - her first real love dumped her and she never got over it, she didn't get into the relationship because she still loved him, he would call her and lead her along just she did with me. She was scared that I would hurt her like he did. "I thought I lost you somewhere but you were never really ever there at all" - one of the best lines. I thought that I lost the best relationship but in truth it wasn't that great and I'm better off without her. "And I'm not holdin' on And all your lies weren't enough to keep me here" - the part that I crank and get goose bumps from. Easy to guess, I don't like her anymore and I'm not going to try to be with her ever again. And also she lied to me when we decided to stop dating and her dishonesty won't keep me thinking that I have a chance with her again. She can't lie and lead me on anymore and I'm going to IU in the fall so f her!!" Sorry to ramble on and I did skip a few lines but as far as I'm concerned it's the best song to listen to to get over someone. The Goo Goo Dolls kick ass, I went and saw them in Indy recently, too good. |
