| Skillet – Circus For A Psycho Lyrics | 11 years ago |

The lines "Round and round we go" and "I want off this" may mean something along the line of him feeling as though he is on a roller coaster or something. The music video features John Cooper wrestling a clown so "circus for a psycho" may be more of a metaphor than anything else. |

| Imagine Dragons – Bleeding Out Lyrics | 11 years ago |

I personally believe this song is about Christ's death on the cross from Christ's point of view. It's just my interpretation, but here is why I think this. *Chorus* I'm bleeding out Said if the last thing that I do - before Christ dies Is to bring you down I'll bleed out for you (sinners) So I bare my skin - he was stripped of his clothes And I count my sins And I close my eyes And I take it in And I'm bleeding out I'm bleeding out for you - Even though he was sinless, he knows he was put on this earth to save the human race and must die on the cross ("bleed out") to achieve this. The line "I'm bleeding out for you" is meant to reference that he died to save each and every one of us (even you). When the day has come - The day he was betrayed by Judas But I've lost my way around And the seasons stop and hide beneath the ground When the sky turns gray And everything is screaming I will reach inside Just to find my heart is beating - He is nervous and scared about going through with sacrificing himself You tell me to hold on Oh you tell me to hold on - God is reminding Jesus that he must go through with it But innocence is gone And what was right is wrong - Even though he has done no wrong as he is sinless, he was arrested and tried as a criminal and sentenced to death on the cross (which was a common method the ancient Romans executed their criminals) *Chorus* When the hour is nigh And hopelessness is sinking in - He is getting ready to die And the wolves all cry - The chief priests and the elders calling for his execution To feel they're not worth hollering When your eyes are red And emptiness is all you know With the darkness fed I will be your scarecrow - His death is meant to be your saving grace. Even in darkness he will be your light. The line "I will be your scarecrow" is a metaphor. Similar to how a scarecrow protects a farmer's crops from crows, the death of Christ is meant to protect you from all the evil in the world. In addition, the way Christ was positioned on the cross (arms stretched out) is similar to the pose of a typical scarecrow. I'm bleeding out for you (for you) I'm bleeding out for you (for you) I'm bleeding out for you (for you) I'm bleeding out for you - Christ sacrificed himself for all sinners, even you. *Chorus* |
