As DeadPowerLine stated, I think this song is about someone that was abusive to him, indirectly. And that someone was his mother...for letting Charlie (stepfather) have a chance to abuse him. She didn't know what was going on, but by her being his "second him" she indirectly let it happen. That's the main meaning in my opinion, but from that he discusses his issues with substance abuse, issues with love, etc... he directly mentions "little boy blue" AKA heroin. But this is no doubt, in my opinion, about his mother and her images versus him and his painful memories. |
