And realizing the fact that not only are they damaged for treating her that way "as an expression of love", but also that she is just as messed up because she is drawn to, and responds to that sort of relationship. | |

I interpret themes of drug and/or alcohol dependancy, maybe even mental illness of some kind. possibly bipolar or schizophrenia. I personally find this song really sad. |

It sounds to me like this song might be about someone who is either injured or dead, singing a message to someone they left behind who feels responsible. or as a fantasy written by someone's survivors guilt. the line "It’s just a day I’m feeling something connect A happy day Should never have to hurt so bad" sounds like a birthday or aniversary. |
