Maybe the Song is the story of Jesus if it happen to be in this day and age now now i'm not going to give a religious message (i'm not religious) but i do find some similarities "I'm waiting in my cold cell when the bell begins to chime" after his "trial" he is waiting to be "crucified" "Cause at 5 o'clock, they take me to the Gallows Pole" there is the story of judas denying Jesus 3 times before the rooster sings at generally around 5 "When the priest comes to read me the last rites....." he now notice he is giving his life for a world full of people who hate him and it all went wrong for him "Can it be that there's some sort of error...." he is still trying to find some meaning to why the people who are supposed to follow him are doing this, maybe they are mistaken? "The words escape me when I try to speak.." at the end he was so beaten he could barely speak, he was also crying maybe for as stories depict him "After all I'm not afraid of dying Don't I believe that there never is an end" he does know there is something more and he was meant to die "As the guards march me out to the courtyard Somebody cries from a cell "God be with you" Before he was crucified some guards ask jesus if he was truly the son of God, He will save him "If there's a God then why has he let me go?" Minutes before his death Jesus himself ask this question "As I walk all my life drifts before me And though the end is near I'm not sorry Catch my soul, it's willing to fly away" this might be referring to a point way before when Jesus was walking thru the desert and found himself, he is not sorry for the way he live because it was his faith and part of something mayor "Mark my words, believe my soul lives on Don't worry now that I have gone I've gone beyond to seek the truth" Then here he tells us how he is never gone, he will resurrect and he wil ascend and spend the eternity at the side of the "Father" "When you know that your time is close at hand Maybe then you'll begin to understand Life down here is just a strange illusion." he then speak to us again telling us that maybe you are not spiritual person but at the end of it all you will realize that all our lives are something that goes by in the blink of an eye and it doesn't matter how you lived we all end the same "Yeah hallowed be thy name" Most common sentence within religion Again i am not religious but i did found this interesting |
