| Twenty One Pilots – Ruby Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| Ruby seems like his sister. Tyler has expressed in interviews that how good a brother he is is very important to him. Also from "your momma" and "where am I from", she is likely a little sister. She is so true and pure that she is otherworldly and a blessing to the "diseased". | |

| You are unique and nobody knows what you know or can do what you do, and for that reason, you should stay alive. | |
| Twenty One Pilots – Oh, Ms. Believer Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| It is about love, probably romantic love but nor necessarily. The girl struggles with an internal world that is far worse than cold reality, but he is dedicated to helping her survive and convincing her she is loved. | |

It's a really beautiful song about struggling with the terrible things in our nature and constant repentance. With my background knowledge of Tyler and the band, I see a heavy Christian theme but it's just my opinion. To "fall away" seems to me like giving in to one's demons and losing light. He has to try to keep God in his life (keep the lights on) or else he might lose his way forever. The "pull" he feels that causes his skin to fall apart is the urge to do things that he knows are wrong. The first verse is basically him waiting in line for judgment and recalling the way that he has lived. There is a desire to be adamant about his lifestyle, but it he knows that he is relatively powerless. The lines "But I'm lying, I'm so very far from fine" remind me of the song Be Concerned from Regional At Best. He lies to himself and God about how much he needs help. The second verse starts to explore the effect of repentance. Instead of putting him at peace, he questions if he really deserves the grace he is shown. He tries to move past his past deeds (new name, newer place) but his guilt follows him. |

| Twenty One Pilots – Glowing Eyes Lyrics | 11 years ago |

The "someone at the door" is responsibility. It could be his own personal health, mental state, spiritual development, outside obligations, or really anything. Whatever is at the door is in need of attention, but he is too engrossed in his own thoughts and torments. He likes to entertain them, either in just a figure of speech sort of way (entertain a thought) or possibly through the songs that he sings. Basically the metaphor is that he locks himself up in a house of negative thoughts and shuts out the world. |
