I like your interpretation but I think what he's saying is that yes he coveted her, but it was her love that wouldn't last, not his. It's sort of revealed when he says the summer was dead to him, meaning that the experience was sad for him, which would confirm that he was still in love with her, but even after the physical aspect of their love, he is still just a tomb for girls who fuck him and leave him.. As for the turquoise jewelry section I don't think he's even saying you've received.. He's almost clearly saying "all of the turquoise jewelry that you seek.." Just my opinion though. I love this song very much, quite the amazing tune.. |
