This song reflects the horrors that happened during WWI and WWII. if you listen to the very opening of the track, its gun fire, people shouting and bombs exploding. just like in WWI and WWII. also, the lyrics "Back in the womb, its much too real. it pumps life that I must feel." That means the person has got shellshock and is in the hospital. and the final verse"Landmine has taken my sight, Taken my speech, Taken my hearing, Taken my arms,Taken my legs, Taken my soul, Left me with life in hell" Means that he just been hit by a landmine, and it has more or less made him a vegetable. and lastly, the chorus "Hold my breath as I wish for death Oh please, God, wake me" means that the peron is on his deathbed, and wants god to end the pain.... ny ending his life...
