Linkin Park – One More Light Lyrics 2 days ago
Ah. Loss, no matter by what cause, is the biggest challenge and growth trigger for us humans in the ambivalence between the material /temporal and the immaterial/eternal. This song is a cultural wake up call not to neglect the importance of cherishing all sparks of light, best case while they are still reachable, touchable, able to be experienced.
I agree that it might also have been a premeditation on losing Chester by himself, declaring suicide not a mere escape for what could no longer be endured but also painful process that hurts both sides and deserves attention.
If it is true that the only way to process and thereby channel and change emotions is going through them, this song is a wonderful primer for the active confrontation and thereby acceptance of the underlying reality.

Passenger – Life's for the Living Lyrics 11 years ago
I think this song is about passion. In contrast to @marsbars interpretation I think that he is not judging no other person around him: I see the descriptions rather as a statement, these mere lifes exist and he sees them all in the same situation basically while offering a remedy: be compassionate, be loving and forgiving and respect life above all.

Passenger – Patient Love Lyrics 11 years ago
There is beauty in the act of peaceful disobedience, ain't it? After all, the only thing really in Your control (and mine) is choosing a perspective to view the facts out of.
That seems not much and still it can mean the world of a difference for You.

You are right, there is beauty in the disobedience described through these lyrics: the utterly delusionary waiting out of fate, choosing the impossible option.

In the end it is not about whether Your choice is realistic or not but whether You make the right choice.

Passenger – All the Little Lights Lyrics 11 years ago
This song is about the little lights, resembling love and the sparks of joy within every human soul, motivating us and keeping us enjoying life.

The progression of this song suggests that, as one gets older and more mature, the lights die out through disappointment, grief and the realization of powerlessness in the face of tragic events around us. The outcome is that eventually all lights die out one day, leaving behind someone without passion, without the spark that makes life bearable.
