This song is on the playlist at the hotel I work at and it fits in perfectly with what i'm going through I have a special bond with this girl where we sleep together, share the same interests, etc but she always says she isn't ready for a commitment or doesn't want to ruin what we have, etc yet then dates other guys, breaks up with them then we go back to where we were and now I'm totally at that point where I'm done with it and going to move on and not get suckered in next time she falls out (again) with the one she is currently with |

Just discovered this song the other night having gotten into The National from some of their other tracks played on the music system at work There I was walking the streets around home with a bit of a beer buzz at 2am with some spring rain coming down and my on again/off again 'girlfriend' 1000 miles a way in another state and not replying to texts or emails and this song pops up on my playlist Stopped me dead in my tracks and made me realise that she is definitely not worth pursuing as every time I start to move on she suddenly appears and knocks me back down again This is definitely one of those songs that defines a certain time in my life |
