I believe that this song could be making a connection between everyday life and the military formal 21 gun salute. "When it's time to live and let die" could be referring to your life's battles and the fact that there is no use in fighting it, because it is pointless, like war. The song could be telling you that you should "give up the fight" because it doesn't want you to metaphorically die in battle, hence the idea behind the 21 gun metaphor. |
