| Johnny Cash – God's Gonna Cut You Down Lyrics | 5 years ago |

This sng spells out what the wicked, the mocking, the unbelieving and the outright evil don't want to think about: no matter how long you think you can "get away with it", there comes a point where the time the Lord was giving you to come to Him and repent is OVER. Many out there insultingly call it "Christian porn", thinking believers derive some pleasure from seeing "evil sinners burn". The truth is: if someone claiming the name of Chris is acting like that, then they would do well to take this warning to heart as well! The Lord has dealt with mankind in varying ways, according to dispensations (or ways of running a household): this has given people the idea that there is an "Old Testament God" and a "New Testament God", but the truth is: same ZGod, just different ways of running the show. And all the different ways always pointed to two things: 1) if you turn to the Lord and repent (change your mind about sin and trust in Him alone), you will be saved; 2) play stupid games and sooner or later end up in hell for eternity. So this song is basically calling the listener (any listener) out on their sins and telling them "come to the Lord while you can." And I echo that: you don't want to find out what "being wrong" on this looks like... |

| Billy Joel – An Innocent Man Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| Agreed; in this song, he's willing to suffer for her sake, even though he did not wrong her. But he is trying to remind her that he's not any of the people who had hurt her. His refrain "an innocent man", is his attempt to warn her that she's about to do to him what was done to her, and to please stop before she becomes like them. | |
| Boz Scaggs – Heart of Mine Lyrics | 11 years ago |

This song is about losing someone you love to another person. The pain of seeing them with someone else, and wondering if they still care about you at all, of if they have forgotten you. Your heart still hurts from their departure, because they left a gaping hole in it that their presence used to fill. Boz Scaggs seems to know that pain and loss all too well, and sums it up so eloquently here. |
