Very Cool site. I always thought that the song was a polarized view of the progress of addiction from his perspective. First part of the song, Whiskey Woman, is the beginning of a journey of addiction. "things look better when she's through" tells me once I've drank the bottle... things we appear better. the "woman" is figurative not literal. KK Downing rips a hole in my head with his solo separating the two sides (one of my favorite rips) The "changes" part says (to me) that the "woman" (the Booze) is no longer enough to make things "better when shes through". the scream references the challenge of addition itself leaving the poor soul in the grips of something heavier. Everyone should remember that no "one" persons (except the writer) understand is actually correct. What makes this site so great is getting to see how these songs affect each of us differently. |
