| Loosing a privilege means that you no longer take advantage of the privileges you were born with. For example, as a man, not sitting with your legs really far apart on the subway taking a lot of space. It's something that women aren't expected to do but men are privileged to do it. A man may feel that he doesn't want to take advantage of his sex when women cant int that situation. Then he can choose not to sit like that.
