Those lyrics first yelled to me "capitalism!". Some of us have good lives, while others are suffering or dying, from exclusion. Exploration is the word here. "Rest is good for the blood" sounds ironical to me, because modern work models think on the health state of the workers only to assure their productivity. "Percentage of us toll the line The rest of us out of reach" I live in Brazil. This makes me think about slums and the confortable privative villas i can see from my window right now. This kind of scenario is seen all around the world, with different "local colors", right? "Everybody party time Some of us will never sleep again" I think this song goes a little away from the financial part of exclusion, to the point of cultural separation between the social classes. To the point they are different creatures, and one feeds on the life of the other. |
