My Interpretation: this song is not about animals but about people. "Tears for animals" has similar meanig as "love for human kind". With "animals" they mean people, because people are animals too and this fits in cocorosie´s views about human beings as part of our nature. So the title could basically also be "tears for humans".
I also believe the lyrics are possibly partly autobiographical but mainly about global human and earth issues like abuse of women or ruinig the planet. |
