En Vogue – Free Your Mind Lyrics 6 years ago
younger i pretty much thought as the verse hints. later years taught among others not a just broader view on life itself but the teachings of the bible on the matter. women should not be seen that way it’s generally seen more or less as degrading.

Hooters – Johnny B. Lyrics 8 years ago
The person in question in this song could be his very young son. If the line went oh Johnny - why can't you see, he is in despair by trait he sees, or think he's seeing in his growing (infant) baby. The way he sings the verse would just add to the effect.

Depeche Mode – It's No Good Lyrics 9 years ago
It occurred to me that the line 'you can run but you can't' could be the only reference to a spouse. And that rest of the lyrics sung other times is about smthg totally else.

Brothers Righteous – You've Lost that Loving Feeling Lyrics 9 years ago
Just a short interpretation. This thought just came across my mind... that maybe by leaving out the line 'bring back that loving feeling' audience would have still gotten the idea of getting or bringing smthg back, somehow. Even though they've been just told otherwise by the song name. Smthg they might have recently lost.

Coolio – Gangsta's Paradise Lyrics 11 years ago
Anyone, has the line "But I never crossed the man that didn't deserve it
added to the beginning of the song, like in many song, to gain attractiveness?

Why there is the ain't instead of just plain am?

My friend were totally confused after the line "crossed the", as they interpreted the verb as "go across". Hence me being new here, and asking the question. Thank you.
