This is one of my favorite songs, but the meaning has me stumped! I believe the first chorus, mentioning the "tropicana sunrise", is the boys' hope/ excitement about their fame OR their goodness. When it switches to the chorus, it mentions the Illuminati and Eve. This shows their decent into sin (coming from fame), also the "tequila sunrise" shows their goodness/excitement dwindling. Also "tequila" could mean posion? As in their innocence being poisoned? OR They feels empty and drained of life from their fame, and the sunrise shows the diminishing happiness in their lives. The second verse and bridge stump me, though :/ I don't understand the importance of the historical references yet... Does anyone else have any ideas? |
