I've only just started listening to Green Day, I kinda stopped after 21st Century Breakdown because their sound just became the same generic american-emo rock band sound.
Its strange with Green Day though, I first listened to them when I was, well I guess I must have been 8 (bloody hell) cos Warning was the first album I heard by them. Back then I just liked the beat of the songs, liked singing the lyrics. But now the lyrics are brilliant. Classic punk rock three chord riffs, and they take so much influence from The Clash, The Jam, there's a lot of Oasis and Blur style in there as well. |

It's one of their bests, there's so much velvet underground influence in the song.
Pretty sure it's just about a songs you hear and just go mental for, even if you're on a night out and can't be bothered, you hear an amazing tune and you just can't help but "get up and dance". Much like any AM tune haha : P |
