Wow, I fucking love this song. It's probably one of the best Black Sabbath songs written, and that's saying something. Through my personal experiences with drugs and knowing all 4 members of Black Sabbath were heavy users, I'm assuming the song is about dealing with the effects they take on you. Your sell your soul by using them and you end up paying the price later. You can't sleep, you become depressed, and you become a total fucking zombie. These are the effects of drugs such as ecstasy when they're misused. |
