| This song used to creep me out with its meaning but I found out that ellie goulding is jewish so when she says "in my house Ruben theres a sound of him in the darkest words" I think she's meaning Reuben which was one of joseph's twelve sons who (though he did many great things) did have an affair. I think this entire song is about an affair because she says she knows she's sinned, etc. This is a great song though I absolutely adore it | |
