I'd walk, I would run but I'd die before I would get to you There's no way I'd get to you The roads have fallen off this earth There's no way I would get to you in time, no way I'd get to you So please won't you come flying Won't you come rescue me Like you do in my dreams And please don't you take your time Our candle's burning out in an hour I'd like to hold you one last time Our violet sun is burning out Our crumbling town is falling apart Our sun is burning out So please won't you come flying Won't you come rescue me Like you do in my dreams And please don't you take your time Our candle's burning out in an hour I'd like to hold you one last time Our sun is burning out In an hour, burning out I'd like to hold you I'd like to hold you one last time Here are the lyrics and from them I get that either she or he are drifting away from one of them and the other wants him/her to come back but they can't seem to reach the other to get them to love them again. |

| I take this song as two people, a guy and a girl, who love each other but by "your hands can heal, your hands can bruise" it means that the man can make her feel wonderful, loved and happy but he also hurts her, on purpose sometimes and he also has temper issues but she also hurts him which is where the line "I don't love you but I always will" means that they aren't good for each other yet they still want to be with each other, despite the heartbreak and fights, and they always get back together. | |
