Darkest Hour – A Paradox with Flies Lyrics 11 years ago
I agree with Evilspleen. I think it is suicide as well. The paradox: Facing yourself in the mirror every day, wishing it would all just end because you can't bottle up anything else. I don't think there are two people in the lyrics. I think it's one person, looking and reflecting on themselves in the mirror, trying to justify what they are about to do, trying to find some dignity and honor in it. ( Sword reference ), trying to find one last shred of hope where they really feel there is none. You keep going back to that one moment but sadly it is just out of reach.

This is my favorite song in the world and always will be.

Michael Jackson – Smooth Criminal Lyrics 11 years ago
I think this is about Annie Besant, because of ( It was Sunday - what a black day )

Bloody Sunday, London, 13 November 1887. Riots broke out between police and demonstrators. I think the crescendo that is referenced, is not only the glass breaking in the window but how loud it would be outside as well with that noise now pouring in.

I think the person coming through the window was a police officer. Annie was one of the people who were involved with the Union demonstration against unemployment, coercion in Ireland and to demand the release of MP William O'Brien.

I also think that during the time that Jackson wrote the song, there were gov't officials trying to get certain music banned. So, I believe there to be a lot of symbolism within this song. Just my thoughts though. ;-)

I do so love a good puzzle XD.
