3OH!3 – Still Around Lyrics 11 years ago
While there is the actual meaning of the song, I think songs can be interpreted as anything by the listener.

Upon hearing this for the first time in a while, I immediately connected it with alcoholism. While I'm not accusing the singer of being an alcoholic, it can be interpreted in this manner.

With lyrics such as: "I'm drunk and so is everyone else in this devil town", "This cities just cemeteries and forgotten nights" and, the most obvious one, "And I know what your thinkin' but that wont stop this drinking".

I think the story behind it could be a boyfriend who has slowly turned into an alcoholic and it put a strain on the relationship to the point where the girlfriend gave him an ultimatum: Either he stop drinking or she leaves him. And while the lyrics "Cause your still around" is in there, the ending is sort of ambiguous. It could suggest she did leave and he kept drinking or she stayed with him no matter what.

This is just my interpretation of the song and I'm not saying it's the actual meaning of the song. You don't have to agree with it either, it's just what I thought upon hearing it.

Definitely about finding the One, in my opinion. The girl is talking about how her life and the world has gotten brighter now that she has found that on great love. She can finally let herself breath as she knows everything is going to be just fine as long as she's with her significant other.

A Great Big World – Say Something Lyrics 11 years ago
This song can really be applied to any situation, in my opinion.
I listened to it a lot after I told my best friend that I loved her and then our relationship hit a rocky point. We eventually sopped talking and I came upon this song whilst I missed her terribly and could relate to it. I listened to it while I waited for her to get in contact again. It helped me a lot.
The point to this is: I believe that this song can be interrupted and pinned to any situation possible, whether it's letting go of a relationship or reflecting back on one.
