| This always felt like such a bittersweet song that I could see it being about suicide, but actually the image I always got in my mind was of two people sleeping in bunk beds, and the one in the top bunk waking up first...there is a lot of more childlike imagery that could go here, which is part of why I like the song so much. Like picture swinging on a rope swing, or swimming, or any of the things you do barefoot, or which require you to be in a position where all you see is feet. There are a lot of playful and possibly adult situations that could fit that lyric. | |
