I have every single Linkin Park song ever in existence, Im a huge fan (Yes that includes Reanimation, Underground albums, Recharged, fucking everything lol) This song is a very complex, and extremely colorfully lyrical. In a way, I believe this song is supposed to point out the fact that Linkin Park (if not Mike personally) can write as complex of lyrics as they can simple. In short, you should not underestimate them, because they will "pick up all your flaws" in the way you write lyrics, and top you off with something far greater. Linkin Park is an unforgettable sound, and the way Mike so confidently raps this song is pointing out the fact that he can be amazing with ease, and he is not worried about his abilities to be a great artist. |

I have every single Linkin Park song ever in existence, Im a huge fan (Yes that includes Reanimation, Underground albums, Recharged, fucking everything lol) This song is about how Linkin Park has a very unique style and they put a lot of time and effort into their songs and most importantly their lyrics. He says that while he is trying to respect everyone's opinion, he is not going to respect the people who simply call them "garbage" with no real constructive criticism. In short, Linkin Park writes some amazing songs, and if you simply call them shitty without actually listening to their music, then you are just being ignorant and your opinion is worthless. Mike gets a little bit personal in the next part of the song. He talks about how he is self aware that most of his or even Linkin Park's lyrics are usually about suffering, pain, etc. He says while he hates the fact he had to go through some rough shit in his life and is constantly undergoing stress with his job/life, he is happy the fact he is able to project his feelings into lyrics and be able to be heard, which in a way helps him cope with some of his issues. This is also showing that he cares a lot about his band and especially his fans, because this song is about him being angry about all of the hate he gets when he puts so much effort into his writings, therefore showing that he is glad that his fans that love and understand this song, are the ones who are awesome and he is glad to be able to be heard by them. When he says he hates his lyrics, but hates everyone else's more, he is pointing out the fact at times he feels he couldve put more effort into his lyrics, but he does not like the fact some bands put no effort into their music and they get extremely idolized and popular for doing absolutely nothing. He is not sure with all of this hate and stress he should either try harder or come to a happy median with himself. He'll never forget about the hate he has gotten from people who are ignorant, but he will struggle more so he can be able to put out the best songs as Linkin Park can. All you gotta do is listen. |
