It seems pretty clear that it's about a break up. He clearly loved her, and he is finding this break up extremely difficult. "But my attempts of piecing life together leaves me alone" - This suggests that after trying to fix the relationship, it just made him feel a whole lot worse. | My interpretation of this is that he was absolutely in love with this girl, he would give everything for her but she acted like he didn't even exist, and it hurt him but he continued to fight for her and finally he's seen her for who she is and decides he's not going to be hurt anymore and finally moves on. | |
