This is about a kid who lost the only person he cared about. And how he Keeps trying to climb of a hole he's stuck in but when he climbs out he gets pushed back. His Father didn't pass away but he was never the same after a certain event. Steven thought of committing suicide but only until the end of the song does he truly believe that suicide is the answer.
