Funny, now i'm 6 years after the last comment. But this song, is trully my favourite. I think pretty hard to notice what the meaning behind it about two years ago, after my first (pretty messy) broke up. Then I realize it was trully reflected my feeling. So, yeah. It made me cry too. (like, a lot). So, I kind of agree that this song is about a man who couldnt move on from his girlfriend, and pretend that he's fine even after a few years after. And my fav lines is this. "In times like these you feel like you are done with feeling, You feel you want to stop the pain from healing Because you feel like you're the only one who ever felt this way. Some days in a daze, there's brighter days. Funny how the feeling never stays, But I know I'll have to come to terms when I'm awake, Thinking about you is the icing on the cake... Makes me realize the fact you're gone for good For goodness sake." The man got disappointed by the girl's decision. And that he never thought feelings would change, never stay the same. But then he tried to accept the situation by admiting the break up was for the best. Hope I assume it right. |
