Could be about wiping your ass hard enough until it bleeds after using the shitter

The Strokes – Razorblade Lyrics 7 years ago
I love this song and how relatable it is. I think the vast majority of Strokes songs interpret my life one way or another. TheMattford is right on this one.

The Strokes – Is This It Lyrics 7 years ago
Relatable yet depressing song. The Strokes are the soundtrack to my life. Alex21333 holds the generalized interpretation.

The Strokes – Evening Sun Lyrics 7 years ago
This song is beautiful to me, especially since I'm 17 and have a summer fling with this girl, she's amazing. We went to a concert as the sun was setting and now I think of her whenever I see the evening sun. I hope it lasts..

"I don't care what the people say"

That's a line later referred to by Josh on The Evil Has Landed by QOTSA.

Mondo Generator – Detroit Lyrics 7 years ago
Surprised no one's made the attempt to interpret this really good song..
My take on it is that the singer, Nick, reflects on the memories of him and his ex who lived in Detroit, the Motor City, who had passed away (hence the lyrics "All in time we die, In time we die", and "Here I sit alone ... Crying inside, I'm dying inside").
He's "covered in black" and full of regret on how the relationship didn't work out and that she's no longer coming back since she's passed. But he feels fine when he reminisces what her face looked like in his mind.
The second verse tells how she didn't even acknowledge him as an old flame during the last time they saw each other, but he smiles about this memory and reiterates the line "I remember you" to tell her that she still meant the same to him after the break up.
The last lines about how he's still in black and never coming back are that he's in a dark place, and will be for a long time, and feels he will never recover after losing her.

Melancholy lyrics with a beautiful vibe to it. Then again, it could just be about drugs..

Kyuss – Phototropic Lyrics 7 years ago
It's about the effect light has on cannabis. It causes it to grow tall, dark and lanky. Kyuss is stoner rock, it's obviously another song about weed.

Soundgarden – Halfway There Lyrics 10 years ago
That link does not seem to be working for some reason... The title of the video is "Chris Cornell explains the meaning of Soundgarden's "Halfway There" and plays it on acoustic guitar."
