I think she was really, really into him. He said or did the right things and left her with Hope of what he might become or accomplish and I feel like she loved him for that even if they never really had a relationship beyond friendship. But in the end he didn't follow through with those things and more, became self-absorbed with relationships with other women that he'd pour his heart about to her. And one day she realized he wasn't what he imagined he was. And he wasn't what she Hoped. And it feels like she was left with these feelings of disappointment and maybe some resentfulness. I think she probably still cares about him but it's a distant care like she'd have for any acquaintence and not the feelings she had before. |
