Vampire Weekend – I'm Going Down Lyrics 11 years ago
This is a reflection that is occurring near the end of a relationship. The male is reflecting on the way the girl used to be much more into him when they started dating. He can tell that she is getting bored of him, but he still wants things to work. They are holding back things that should be said; and they suddenly let it out; and they get in a huge fight. When they try to make up; it just isn't the same. They aren't meant to be. She is losing interest; but he is trying his best to look at all the times they were happy; so he could bring them back. He is trying to deny the fact that she wants to leave.

Vampire Weekend – One (Blake's Got a New Face) Lyrics 11 years ago
I don't understand a lot of this song. There's a part of it that makes me think it's about a little girl, or a child. "English breakfast tastes like Darjeeling, but she's too cute to even ask." Something has been served to her, and it tastes familiar ("like Darjeeling") but she is afraid to ask if it is what she thinks. She wants to avoid embarrassing herself by being wrong, or not being seen as "cute" anymore.
The part "Nastiness will cause your doom, turn and walk back to your room." Is possibly referring to her actually being sent to her room after criticizing the food. "Nastiness"; as in her attitude, must change or she will face punishment; or, "doom". This part is possibly what the parent would have been saying.
But yeah, that's all I got from this song.
