| Nine Inch Nails – Every Day Is Exactly the Same Lyrics | 11 years ago |

Personally,I can relate the song to people with bipolar and their experience. I'm one of them. In the first verse, I can see how purposeless and useless my life is. "I think I used to have a purpose but then again,it might have been a dream". "Sometimes I think I'm happy but sometimes not" relates to the intense mood swings I have. At times,I'm so happy it feels like I'm high. And sometimes, depression kills me. "I can tell you exactly how it will end" and "I'll write it on a lil piece of paper I'm hoping you might find" explains how I feel like taking my life. I know it's going to happen and that how it ends. Finally, "everyday is exactly the same" - it says I go through this same bullshit day after day. It's maddening. Well, that's what I feel about this song. It's one of my favourites. It's featured in the movie,"the wanted"- James mcavoy and Angelina Jolie. In the movie,McAvoy actually has violent panic attacks and depressive states which is similar to bipolar. Both the song and the movie means a lot to me. |
