To me, this sounds like the story of the character, Carmen, in the play,"Fame." Has big dreams, and everyone loves her. She has talent and she shines. She's only seventeen, but she leaves to make it big and ends up as an addict on the streets and is dying. |

I think that this may be about a relationship with a girl who was just using him "But I've been driving you around, I didn't think it could have lasted" That seems like it could be a way of saying he was doing everything for her. So the girl made him do everything for her, and he just went a long with it, and then it hit him, so "And now that Cinderella's gone" Meaning that her act of innocence was over. "Well I can finally see the light" he sees how troublesome it is, and gets himself out of it. |
