"Deep great love" absolutely. For me, the song is more about placing the author's loved one on a pedestal and apologizing for his/her own imperfections, with a touch of declaring his/her own inadequacy within the relationship. The author relies upon his/her partner to guide him/her through life and believes that he/she is nothing without the loved one. I prefer the "Live in Australia" version, as the emotion seems to present clearer. |
