I think the song's about Meg. Musically, the drums are out of control (though very cool) and then the guitar comes in smooth, strong, and reserved (for Jack, at least). The lyrics back up the music...an out of control spousal relationship. |

This song is obviously about Josh Homme's love of horticulture. Trees, home (gardening), and a (green) thumb. He's an avid xerophyte aficionado, being from the Mojave desert region. He probably has quite a few Joshua trees hangin' in the breeze around his humble abode. Have you ever handled a cactus? I bleed my own... |
