It seems like a woman talking to her ex (rapist!?), who she's had a baaad relationship with, years after they parted ways. He's is trying to get 'his' child from her. He's "gotten himself straight" after all this time, and feels like he can come back into her life, but she's not planning on letting him. "I'm not the one to continue on." It was probably an abusive relationship, "And your thoughts they got me", and she isn't going to let him think he's ever going to come back to her, much less her kid, until, possibly, he stops thinking he's got any right to ever do so. "So work harder for the things you made in me" |

Schizophrenia and Dissociative identity disorder, hands down. There's two or more personalities going on here - take a look. "I've got a friend with a melody that will kill She'll eat you alive Like cyanide is poison, she'll eat you alive" Personality one (P1), possibly the 'person' herself, speaking of P2, an agressive personality. "Don't you battle, we'll kill you Rip you up and tear you in two" All personalities speaking to P1. "Only in the sound of the voices I scream" Schizophrenia. "I heard my name, now I'm gone, tell me what I did You saw me standing on my lone mountain Dare me to play, not to put it off 'Cause the tears are not worth the wait" Probably P1 after a personality switch, speaking of somebody totally different speaking to her about what 'she' has done, possibly as P2 "Your loveliness is so worth it You're another one in a long long time Wrestling people for peace" Either one of the personalities (P3) or the same totally different person speaking of or to 'her'. "Only in the sound of the voices I scream" "I make room for everyone I make room for everyone I need to take a break!" What do you think? "Do you wanna look in my mind Open up and see what you find Holdin' on to just what I wanted Hiding like a force it was..." Still here. 'She' is just trying to keep it together. "Just behind the door, when I wasn't not looking out For nothing anymore, but ooh look what I found I was always talking too much But only in the sound of the voices I scream" "Only in the sound of the voices I scream" |
