I 've never heard this song, but it seems, like the protagonist is some sort of guardian angel for the other person. |

for me it is kind of like when we made plans as kids what we wanted to do when we would grow older, but then telling yourself that first you have to work and make money, but then you noticed that it all went by as you weren't looking and you have missed it all. |

Dan Bull – Outbounds Lyrics

It wasn't very long ago (maybe half a year) when I found Dan Bull. At the time being I suffered from depression, so I could very much relate to the songs from the album Safe. After that i listened to his album New Leaf and it kinda gave me hope that i could change my life if i pulled myself together, and so I did: i turned over a new leaf in my life. Maybe i should have gone to a doctor, but Dan Bull worked just fine for me.
Relistening the albums doesn't throw me back to where i was, but shows me, that if i really wish to, i can change tings and that everything gets better.
This is my personal story, it is 100% genuine so i'd appreciate it if you wouldn't shitstorm me. I just wanted to share my memories, cause i have such a huge emotional connection to this song and because Dan is the best white rapper evaaa!!!
Cheers :) |

To Kill A King – Funeral Lyrics

I think that the song is how we always look back on what we were after we have changed, hanging out with other friends and listening to other music and having other mannerisms. "Let's sing and dance and talk / Of all the dumb things i was before"
But maybe the protagonist just acted like he changed because he was a loner and just wanted to fit in. Now that he did this he hopes that his parents will be proud of him because he finally has a social life.
Idk, what does it mean to you, Saephaan? |

To Kill A King – Funeral Lyrics

I think it is interesting how the first part of a verse kinda sounds like a funeral, but the second part more like a party. |
