Example – Won't Believe the Fools Lyrics 11 years ago
He's talking about the religion he was taught as a child and how he has grown up with. When he spoke up about his disbelief the other students mocked him and called his views "blasphemy". The "dude in the sky" is "god"and the lies they told him about where he's going when he dies is about the stories of heaven and afterlife taught within his religion. The other students also laughed at him for saying he doesn't believe. He begins asking if there is anyone really out there, like a "god", and starts saying what others might say about someone who they're in a relationship with (he might be in one with a religious woman, or just someone that he sees as beautiful): "you're beautiful, something must have created you" (argument from complexity/beauty). This is probably more of the argument other people make when they see beauty in nature. A typical question to non-believers: "do you really believe it happened on accident?" He's refusing to believe what he sees as foolish, while presenting the argument believers make for love and beauty as proof for their beliefs. Either he is mocking them or expressing his beliefs as a deist, or possibly being convinced to be a deist/theist.
