I think this is about how we're slaves to the dogmas we believe in. Triangles are often used in a spiritual context -- they represent different deities: the holy trinity (like horriblehorst mentioned), pyramids meant for worship, and even in masonry the triangular shape is considered sacred. I'm sure there's more examples that link triangles and spiritual beliefs.
I guess one of the possible interpretations of the song is to "beware" that prayers and triangles placed in your mind can emprison you (you'll never be free). |

I think this is similar to Closer in every way. Trying to get out of an "all time low" through pleasure and then magnifying such pleasures (it's gonna last forever, we're never gonna die) maybe in an attempt to overcompensate. |

I agree, this song is about whatever one needs discipline in, and although I certainly think Trent did not write this about food, it could very well apply to someone who binge eats. Love the song! |
