I read Defeed's explain and I didn't agree with it. But as I read urs it occurs to me that you guys are viewing the lyrics in another light. Or ur guy's meanings is correct it's just incomplete. I think it's missing this part:Adam's lyrics are "I'm at a payphone trying to call home". You guys already got the payphone part. But for me the "trying yo call home" part always stood out 4 me. To me that translates his heart is with her and home is where the heart is. So he is trying to reach her because she is home to him. Than this lyric:"all of my change I spent on you" is where I find ur guy's meanings are incomplete (Defeed's, wordsthenbeat, sect.) I believe the word payphone was used to emphasis that he'll use all his money just to reach her; his that desperate & in love. I think it was a way if showing he'll spend all if his money, as its states on her just to reach thus person. |

Stop lying to yourself. Ask yourself and try to understand y talking about this problem to your friends hasn't worked. Do you ever wounder y you still don't feel better after trying to forget him? Keep writing in that book he gave you. Doesn't it feel better than you talking to ur friends about it? Instead of talking about it spend MORE time writing about it. Have u ever wondered y talking it over with ppl hasn't made u feel better? Have u ever stopped and wondered y u haven't successfully convinced urself "that it shouldn't matter or that it's all for the greater good or that I need to cut my losses and carry on"? Maybe because it's not. Deep down you know more than you think you know. You know more then me. U need to stop what r doing; it ain't working. Do something else. If you don't feel better after looking at those photos I suggest u 2 stop. Isn't that a start? |

Yea. I don't listen to the killers. I've never listened to this song. But when I read the first versus, it was so good that I needed to keep reading. Anyway I read the whole thing then read Icarus Fixius's inYea. I don't listen to the killers. I've never listened to this song. Also made the lyrics more understanding and opened my eyes more with the interpretation. I like it. |
