| The Neighbourhood – Female Robbery Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| I do not think that the song is about someone being kidnapped. I think it's about some people want to be taken away from the world that they live in. In the part of the music video where it shows the dad and the girl and at first he looks like he is just talking to her then shows him hitting her, I think that is showing how some people are different than they seem. Her parents seem like they are there to protect her and take care of her but they do just the opposite. Although, her "kidnapper" is the one who seems cruel at first but is trying to show her that people are not what they seem, and you can bury your past, shown in the scene when they are burring the journal. Also, at the beginning with the translations, those are not the words she is actually saying. The translations are to show that she is hiding behind the words she really wants to say to the people who are treating her like shit. When it says "that they could shoot but that's no fun cuz then they're killing their stolen son" I think that it means that the people who mistreating this person don't realize that they are going to be important. A son, who, maybe in this case is stolen, would be important to a parent. They wouldn't shoot their son. This song just shows to prove that people are not what they seem at all and not everyone can be trusted, and sometimes you have to bury your past and move on. | |
