Many of these songs fell into a lot of people who are depressed, because they can relate to it. They want to end everything, they want to stop suffering ["I don't want to feel like this tomorrow, I don't want to live like this today], they want to give up ["Do you know what it's like to wanna surrender?"]. But they have to keep going. To never surrender, because no matter how much they've been pushed to their limits, they are still fighting. Like... "Do you know what it's like when You're not who you wanna be Do you know what it's like to Be your own worst enemy? Who sees the things in me I can't hide? Do you know what it's like to wanna surrender?" Depression is a war. Sometimes with yourself. And some die trying, sadly. |
